Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) and luxury vinyl plank (LVP) deliver the appearance of hardwood, stone or ceramic at a fraction of the cost — and with far more resilience. A glue-down installation bonds each piece fully to the subfloor, which is why it's preferred for commercial spaces, large open areas and rooms with temperature swings or heavy rolling loads.
Unlike floating click-lock floors, glue-down LVT/LVP won't shift, gap or bounce underfoot. It stays flat, handles heavy traffic and is easier to repair board-by-board if ever needed. Glue-down is bonded directly to the subfloor, making it more stable, better for large or high-traffic areas, and less prone to gapping or movement. Floating (click-lock) floors sit loose on top and can shift over time. For commercial spaces we almost always recommend glue-down.
